What once was a broken-down in-ground pool is now a clean, open, and unrecognizable area that is ready for the next chapter. We safely demolished this too-far gone pool, hammering out the concrete pool deck, ripping out the pool walls, all debris, and backfilled the entire cavity with compacted fill. The area was then fine-graded and restored with screened loam for a smooth, seamless finish.

Just wrapped up this Very Important Project for our friends . This project consisted of a house demolition, excavation for foundation, installation of foundation drains, backfilling the foundation with sand, bring in the water/sewer, slab prepping with 3/4” crushed stone. Check out this Very Important Project we did over at Lovell Lake!
This project consisted of us removing the deck from the house itself, carefully excavating the soil and large rocks beneath, and then installing a 56ft retaining wall using World blocks 2x2x4 big retaining wall block. Needless to say this wall is not going anywhere! In the process we discovered the deck was attached to the house with only a couple of nails and the steps suspended over a 10ft drop only had 7 nails holding the steps on as well!! We took the liberty of lag bolting the deck back on, adding an extra support leg, poured actual footings, and anchored it to the wall as well for additional support. We put additional supports underneath of the stairs as well when we reattached them to the deck. The previous embankment was washing into the side of the house with 1-3ton rocks teetering on the edge nearly falling down into it as well. Check out how this Very Important Project (VIP) turned out! First here we have an amazing 1,300sqft patio using Andover smooth Chatham blend pavers and over 1,400sqft of Fat face vineyard blend retaining wall block from Ideal Block. Followed by these gorgeous granite steps as well as a 5.5ftx5ft granite bridge supplied by Swenson Stone Works - A Polycor Company. This stunning creation also features a 60ft long river running between the retaining walls that drops off the waterfall just before the granite bridge in the staircase. That stream continues underneath of the bridge running into a small fish pond. This structure also features LED cap lights that turn on with an automatic timer. Railings were to be installed as well.

This project was completed in early spring and will forever be one of the most important projects for our young company as we are not only grateful to be given the opportunity to work on a project of this magnitude but we are extremely honored to have worked for such a wonderful person. He was a very generous donor to many charities that help out veterans, he paid for many veterans funerals, and he himself was a veteran. You will always be remembered here by us at VIP Landscapes, Rest in peace Richard Perkins.
