We have seen a wide array of people allowing and promoting unsafe work habits lately. Whether you are a homeowner or professional, one handing a chainsaw and not wearing proper protective equipment are the most common ways people of any experience level get cut with saws. We encourage all chainsaw operators to always wear a chaps, a good pair of boots, eye protection, and hearing protection at a minimum, and always wear a hard hat when felling trees, or working near an area where there is the potential for overhead hazards.
Industry standards, as well as product manufacturers do not suggest use of a saw without chaps, hearing protection, eye protection, or one handed saw use under any situation. The one handed use of a chainsaw is a terminable offense at our company as it opens the door for many other unsafe habits.
We strive to outpace our competitors within the bounds of the industry standards and will not cut corners to get the job done.
