We’re in Philadelphia magazine !! ✨

Our second-floor renovation of a century-old colonial in Ardmore was featured in the May issue, and seeing this project in print feels surreal in the best way.
This one was close to my heart. The home belongs to a dear friend. A reimagined primary suite, two new walk-in closets, kids’ rooms made to grow, and a wallpapered closet ceiling I’m still a little obsessed with.

The best compliment a client has ever given me wasn’t about a specific room or finish. It was, “It feels like us.” That’s what I’m always reaching for. A home that looks like you, drawn from how you want to live, what you’re drawn to, the things you don’t always know how to put into words. This kitchen and breakfast room belong to a family who got exactly that.

When we started this renovation, what stood out most to me was my client’s focus on how she wanted the space to feel, how she wanted to feel in it, and how she wanted her family to feel at home.
Every choice, from space planning to selections, was guided by how the family would move through the space and actually live in it. The goal was a home that felt comfortable, thoughtful, and easy to be in.
At Ru And Co., this is always our goal. We design spaces that are not only beautiful and functional, but genuinely feel like home.
That only happens when clients share what home means to them and trust us to bring that vision to life. This client did. And the result speaks for itself.
