These Major Wheeler Honeysuckle arches are blooming right now across two Northern New Jersey gardens — and the hummingbirds have already arrived.

The flowers begin in late spring and continue for weeks, covering the structures in vibrant coral-red blooms that completely transform the feeling of a garden entrance.

One of my favorite things in garden design is creating moments that feel immersive and alive.

In loving memory of our beloved friend Teresa. đź’•

Her sudden passing has left a deep emptiness in our hearts. I am truly heartbroken.

Teresa carried a rare blend of grit and wit, along with a formidable strength, kindness, and whole-hearted presence that filled every space she entered.

She came to us first as a client, and naturally became a dear friend — someone I turned to, admired, and loved.

Together, we created her meaningful pollinator gardens — spaces that reflected her thoughtfulness and her deep appreciation for the natural world and a conviction for doing her part.

She had a beautifully trained eye and an innate sense of design. I had imagined creating many more native gardens alongside her.

We are so grateful for the time we shared — I learned from her in ways I will carry with me, in every garden I create.
