šŸ”āœØ Another successful variance in Ridgewood! Our proposal was just approved this past Tuesday. āœØšŸ”

šŸ‘ Special recognition to Jeffrey from our office, who completed the variance presentation and successfully guided the project through the approval process.

This project includes:
ā€¢ Two-story rear addition with a new kitchen and mudroom on the first floor and a primary suite above
ā€¢ New front open porch
ā€¢ Rear patio and improved backyard access
ā€¢ Driveway expansion and site upgrades
ā€¢ New generator and air conditioning condensers

The approval included variances for the maximum building height and minimum side yard setback, allowing us to enhance functionality, flow, and aesthetics while remaining respectful of neighborhood character and the intent of the zoning ordinance. Grateful for the Boardā€™s time and thoughtful consideration. Excited to bring this project to life!

In recognition of her dedication to preserving Glen Rockā€™s history and character, our principal Xiomara has received the 2025 Community Service Award from the Architects League of Northern New Jersey.

Through her long-standing involvement with the Glen Rock Historical & Preservation Society, Xiomara has helped safeguard the legacy of Carl Kemm Loven, AIA, a prominent mid-twentieth century architect based in Glen Rock. As archivist for the Loven Collection, she has spent countless hours conserving original drawings, organizing records, and speaking on Lovenā€™s work.

Over 25 years of practice in Glen Rock, Xiomara has consistently given back through her time, expertise, and leadership. Her contributions include twice serving on Planning Board subcommittees focused on preserving neighborhood character, providing guidance to the community initiative that created the Glen Rock Dog Park, and leading the design team for Glen Rock High Schoolā€™s annual Grad Ball in 2008.

Congratulations to Xiomara on this well-earned recognition from the local chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

We realized we never announced this good news that we received last year! Last year, we were awarded the Best of Houzz Service & Design Awards for 2025. That was our 10th year in a row! The Best of Houzz Service Award honors professionals based on several factors, including their overall rating on Houzz and client reviews submitted.
