All the progress in this video was taken over about 8 hours across two days. We work fast. It's not because we are sloppy, using less material, or only counting straight shot projects. Its because we couldn't get our camera guys out on the previous day where we prepped. Leveling, adding substrate, leveling, compacting, adding more substrate, releveling, compacting (again) to be ready for the good stuff.
When you have great equipment, an experienced team, quality material, perfect weather, it all comes together perfectly. But the real reason why we work fast is because we have been doing this for nearly 30 years and when the asphalt is hot, the artwork begins. The guys hand-working the edges so it looks crisp. The paver operator knows when to make adjustments or when it needs a little more TLC. The man on the roller knows how important the finishing work is to a compacted, smooth finish to hold up for years.
The crew is headed to Council Bluffs, Oakland, Glenwood, Tabor, Carroll, Red Oak,Bellevue, Brownville, Malvern but there is plenty of time to get you on the books.
