Shelton's Tree and Landscape Maintenance is hiring a part-time leading to full-time
climber / bucket operator in Gloucester. Position is year-round with benefits that include
paid vacation (after an introductory period), paid holidays and a voluntary retirement plan. Pay
is based on level of experience. Current valid driver's license is required. CDL is a plus. Climber
needs to have a good working knowledge and experience in SRT and or DRT climbing
techniques. Responsibilities include pruning and removing trees while ensuring the safety of
self, team, public and property. Also responsible for debris management and working with the
team to chip and clean up tree debris. Applicants should be able to perform regular
maintenance on equipment. Will be working with an ISA certified arborist that takes pride in high
quality tree care.
Duties include:
Operating a bucket truck, brush chipper, stump grinder, chainsaws, pole saw, equipment
maintenance, tending to rigging ropes and site cleanup.
Desired experience includes:
Tree felling, rigging, and tree climbing with and without climbing gaffs.

Position is year-round with benefits that include paid vacation (after an introductory period), paid holidays and a voluntary retirement plan. Pay is based on level of experience. Current valid driver's license is required. Duties include: operating a brush chipper, chainsaw, pole saw, assisting climber/ lift operator, tending to rigging ropes and site cleanup. Applicants with an interest in arboriculture and experienced tree climber/ lift operators are preferred. Desired experience includes tree felling, rigging, and tree climbing with and without climbing gaffs. Willing to train individuals interested in learning the trade. Bubbly Tree? No need to worry. These bubbles are actually a form of soap. On rainy days like today the water cascading down the textured trunk accumulates previously deposited airborne particles and natural tree chemicals. The chemicals accumulate at the base of the tree and form bubbles. Look for it on rough textured trees such as mature pines, oaks and hickories.
