ation. We've been part of the North Shore neighborhood for more than 60 years. Our first store stood on Main Street and was called "Carl & Glover". During the building boom of the late 40's and early 50's, we provided flooring and installation for many of Gloucester's new homes, and people developed a trust in the quality of our products, the professionalism of our installers, and the integrity of the people who ran the business. In 1974, as part of an urban renewal project in Gloucester, stores in many downtown districts were moved to other parts of the city, and the store now known as Glover's Floor Covering opened in its current location on Whittemore Street. Since then, we've expanded and renovated the store many times, and broadened our geographical range beyond Gloucester and Rockport to include Manchester, Magnolia, Essex, Ipswich, Beverly, Salem, Marblehead, Hamilton, Wenham, Ipswich, and many other local communities. Of course, like any community business, the ultimate secret to our success has been our loyal customers, who appreciate our efforts to provide high quality flooring and expert installation.
