New project rendering for a client today. Working on the computer, it was easy to show the client three different roof options before settling on this one. Photo rendering aside, this would have taken me days to do when I was drafting on a board...Back in the neolithic age. I told a client today, I'm not old because I was born in the 1960's. I call myself "Mid-Century Modern" instead.

For those of you who like data, here is a Pew ResearchCenter study on Aging in Place. A majority of the respondents (60%) who are 65 & older are planning on staying in their current homes with some assistance. The big question is where is that assistance coming from and what can we do to minimize the reliance on that assistance?

Another addition well done by the people at Sage Custom Contracting. This is what I strive for when designing any addition - it should look like it's always been there. I added the little covered roof over the back door as a practical measure (to deal with water), but by tying the addition to the bay window, it also further blends the addition into the existing structure.

This is a project I'm currently working on. I took my Softplan 3D model and ran it through Genesis AI. Not bad with just a simple prompt.
