Here's a tip to help your trees battle the extreme heat of the summer. MULCH!!!!!
The rock yard landscape is way to common in Arizona. The rocks radiate more heat that sits on the trees root zone, drys out the soil quicker and adds to compacted soil conditions. Mulching can add natural nutrients to the soil, help retain moisture longer and is much cooler to the top soil. A thin 2-3 inch layer is enough and be sure not to create a " volcano " up and around the trunk of the tree. Let me say it again
