Y’all meet my newest customer Goldsboro’s very own Mr. Vernon Williams. We met up at Lowe’s a few weeks back and he asked if I sold new garage doors and I told him I certainly do sir. I left him with some brochures and he told me he’d be in touch and as he said he reached out to me a couple days later. Now he had no idea I knew him from past dealings I had with him as he was the owner of Williams home center here in town for 30 yrs or better. He and his brother were always great folks to work with and for and I never once had any issues with either of them. The day I met up with him at his house to do the site check and price his 2 doors he asked if I had a few minutes and I told him sure. He wanted my story as a person in business and I told him sir I’m just a small fry but I sure do try!! He said he did some research and I actually came highly recommend and did great work but above all I kept in contact with my folks and that alone was enough to make him purchase from me!! I was happy to hear that and I said well that’s enough about me sir what’s your story? 1 of 9 boys he grew up dirt floor poor and had lost his dad at a very young age he went on to work odd jobs just to survive and help his mother and his 8 brothers make it! We grew up rough and hard but it made us all value life and our things a lot differently than what was handed to most folks! Just like you Mr. Stricklin I did and still consider myself just a small fry that actually got by and by the grace of God you gonna make it too!! I tell ya these folks sho do make for some great stories and I love em for it!! Thank you Mr.Vernon and Mrs. Susie Williams the pleasure was definitely all mine today
