Good Hope Gardens We are a family run sustainable farm since 1986. We produce 28 acres of vegetable in the most safe ways possible and a small orchard. We have roughly 28 acres.

We have been producing vegetables and small tree fruits since 1986. We are all family owned and operated small business, working to produce vegetables and fruit in the most sustainable and safe way. We have many hoop houses(greenhouses) to help get an early start. We hand start every seed. We do attending few farmers markets in Galesburg and Macomb, but we have a shop located at our farm in Good H

ope Il, that is open from roughly late may to late October, Monday- Friday 10am-6pm and Saturday 10am-4pm. CLOSED SUNDAYS!

More sheep shearing pics! Took about 4 hours to get through the entire flock including rams. It was a good day to get this project out of the way. We even got Eli’s girlfriend in on the fun…she even made a friend with one! 🤭 It truly is a job where all hands are on deck!

Week of June 1st….

Did I just say June 1st? 😬
Here’s what’s happening for at least the next few days….
*Strawberry picking =still trying to fill orders from last week 🍓
*Today = Sheep shearing day, which means most of our day will be all hands on deck! 🐑
* Wednesday = SHOP OPENS! We will be setting up the shop and will post produce availability& prices soon!

So when I say June 1st…we just become even busier than we already be are. We just keep trudging forward! We look forward to seeing all of our wonderful customers! 🥰 If you haven’t been to Good Hope Gardens yet…make the trip! You will not be disappointed!

Wednesday Strawberry Update:
We are through our patch all the way -through 1 time…and have got 150 qts sold so far!

We need rain desperately! We are giving the patch a rest day tomorrow to see once we got the king berries off if the others will turn???🤞🏻

So ….this afternoon we move to fall planting! Pumpkins, gourds, and squash are all going in with the water wheel planter! Anyone willing to do a rain dance…please send us a giggle! 🙌🏻

Tuesday Strawberry Update:
We have picked 110 qts and filled orders as they have appeared in order. We are working through our list (slowly…but making progress)! We still have 250 qts to fill the rest of the orders. We are thankful, but please know we really are trying to make it happen. 🫩
We will be back at it again tomorrow…and will call when we get your ordered filled.

POST UPDATED (Tuesday, May 26):
Due to the overwhelming amount of people wanting strawberries this week…we are not taking any more orders at this time until the orders we have taken have been filled (if you commented yesterday…you are on the list)!!! With no rain and only heat in the forecast our little patch is going to feel the stress! We will post updates when we know where we are at!!! We are sorry, but are thankful for our customers support! 🥰
