Check out this before and after staircase transformation! did an amazing job on this one 🙌

The client approached Brent with a vision of upgrading this entryway. Brent began by taking down the old Red Oak Newels and Spindles. He then installed modern box newels with 5/8” round balusters to provide depth and contrast. This allowed the client’s entryway to have more visual appeal; the black powder coating and vertical lines of the balusters break up what used to be a monotonal Red Oak.Additionally, these metal balusters add a designer touch to the space, providing a splash of visual intrigue.

American Cherry & Iron Balusters

This beautiful staircase makes a statement in this modern, colonial home. American Cherry newels and handrails bring out the beautiful character of this space. The alternating single knuckle and double knuckle iron balusters create striking lines against the warmth of the wood. This is a statement of balusters at their best!

By tearing out the wall in one side, the entryway became more open; this transformed the area into a more open concept reception between the dining room and hallway. Additionally, by painting the room white, the whole space allows light to bounce more naturally. Topping it off is the switch to White Oak Newels and handrail with dark black balusters. Metal balusters add a designer touch to this space. The alternating oval and simple straight design adds subtle visual intrigue.

Stair Railing Design

Blending wood and wrought iron balusters can take your home to the next level. As seen in this picture, our Craftsman Box Newels and wrought iron balusters are an excellent combination for a clean and contemporary style. These Red Oak Newels and Handrail pair elegantly against the satin black iron balusters from our “Twist Series”. The shoes along the top and bottom are a small detail that add uniformity to the overall design.

This DIY Transformation project by .bynicole is stunning! This is the definition of turning a builder grade staircase into custom masterpiece. Nicole and her husband tore down the existing half-wall that enclosed their stairway. By utilizing white oak newels and handrails, they were able to maximize light reflecting properties in the room. This concept of Nordic minimalism adds a warm and organic look to the elegance of the home. Finally, the simple round balusters add a splash of dark contrast in the railing, framing this beautiful system step by step.

Have you met our CEO Len Morris? Innovative, kind, and a leader are just a few words to describe him. Thanks, Good of Goshen for sharing his story and what we've been up to here at Viewrail!

From a numbers perspective, our business has doubled. Our staff has doubled [since the start of the pandemic].

As I look back at that time, it’s crazy. It’s a blur. And it was inspiring. It was just people coming together and really, really working hard.

From a qualitative ability to perform, 2021 has been the best we've ever had in terms of service to the customer. We were able to maintain a ten-business-day lead time through all of 2021, and in building materials -- to provide and manufacture custom products and do it in ten days -- is pretty remarkable. To do it during the shortages of the pandemic is just incredible. That was a major challenge we rose to, and I don’t think we’re ever going to go back to having a longer lead time than ten days.

That’s been a significant change.

We’ve also dumped a ton of effort into software. Our software team has really taken Autodesk to the next level of design.

We saw people just pour into this business and really make a commitment to it. It’s been wild, it’s been fun, and a lot of people’s careers have been made during the most difficult time for a supply chain since probably World War II.

It really caused us to go through this fire and I think our team came out tested and stronger.

There’s a feeling in Goshen we don’t think we would get somewhere else. When people from around the country come in and tour our facility they say, ‘There’s something special about your culture, something special about what you’re doing.’ And while I think we’ve worked really hard on our work culture, I don’t think we can take that out of context. I’m not sure we could have built this in a different context, in a different city, in a different location, in a different town.

I think the combination of what we want to do and what the Goshen culture -- or work ethic -- is, come together and allow us to make something really special in this town.

What we hope to give back is a long view of value to the community by providing jobs that have a great work-life balance, that have a great opportunity for a person to take their skills as far as they want to go. For a place where mom and dad come to work and go home having positive interactions all day long, so they can come home and have positive interactions [there].
