This is long overdue but I figured I should give some tips to keep your statues looking good.

All of our stuff is painted with exterior latex paint, the same stuff you would use for your house. It’s made to survive the test of time but it will eventually fade/chip like most house paint does.

To make your paint last as long as possible there are some easy tips.

1. Keep away from running and still water that pools up. Having it in the rain is fine but having constant water streaming over it or just having it sit in water can lead to the water to pe*****te the paint and start chipping.

2. Keep away from rock salt and other lawn chemicals. Not only can this strip the paint but even exposure to rock salt can weaken the base of the statue over time.

3. Best to be displayed with a little coverage from the weather. As tempting as it is to put a statue in the middle of the garden, that does pose some risks for reasons mentioned above. Putting it on the edge of a porch or by a door where there is just a little bit of coverage can make a huge difference. I’ve personally have one statue going 5 years strong with no paint chipping or fading having it sit on the edge of my porch on the outside of the railing.

4. Bring it in during the winter. Not only for water sake but if you leave it in the garden ice can fall off the roof and break it. That recently happened to me last winter (RIP turtle head).

If you do these 4 things you should see your painted statue last a long time before it needs to be touched up.

Excited to announce that we extended our products to nearby Cattaraugus at the Buffalo Country Store at Pritchard’s Hardware in town! Locals won’t have to go all the way to Buffalo to get our products. Here is a picture of what’s in the store, we’ll be trying to get more of our popular Bills gnomes in there, both 2ft and 17in along with some of our other products.

Remember you can always order stuff directly from us and we do custom paint jobs. So if you see something you like but have an idea on how you want it painted, we try to accomodate!

Small statues are $45, everything else in the picture is $30. Solid concrete, exterior latex paint.
