Our hearts are broken today. 💔

Yesterday, surrounded by my mom and amazing husband, we said goodbye to the strongest man I’ll ever know.

Dad you fought like hell for so many years and watching it often made me sick. You were strong every single day but your body just had enough and we are so grateful for all the time we had with you.

As I’m going through all my emotions, I am reminded of how amazing my dad truly was. He was a successful lawyer, fought for children as a DCF lawyer for part of his career, provided a beautiful home for my mom and brother and I, loved my mom unconditionally, was an avid golfer, supported and loved my husband, and dealt with so much loss in his life losing his parents, his brother and sister, and my brother, his son.

We love you dad and it makes my heart a little less sad to know you aren’t suffering anymore. I hope you are playing a round of 18 today.
