What a Great Wall paper sample. I’m thinking half bath in the Half Cape home design. Wall paper on top and wainscoting painted a light blue on the bottom.

To me this is a Half Cape home with what they call a bowed roof. This would make such an amazing get away cottage on the Cape or in Maine. Add on some extra space to the side. Such an amazing idea and place to build and make memories with your family. The details, the wide pine flooring with check pattern painted on. .capecod

I was thinking the only way I could show folks the details I’d love to put into one of these half cape homes is to go live. Over the next few months I’ve decided to make some story boards of details in each room. The cabinetry and windows, the flooring and wall molding. A half bath with wainscoting below and wall paper above. The details to me are what they’re all about.

Three or four home styles I really love, Gambrels, Half Capes, Capes and the farm house style but with the barns attached back in the day. My vision, desire and style are something I really love and have a passion for.

I don’t know where online I found this design but it reminds me of the homes in New England with barns attached. This would be such an amazing design with all the latest updates in it. Inset cabinetry, wainscoting, wide wood floors, an amazing family room with a gorgeous fireplace for the holidays. Exterior with cedar shakes, hydrangea landscaping and pea stone driveway. This is a passion of mine and style I can’t explain but a love. To build a home like this for someone would be an amazing project.

Hello, I wanted to give a little insight to what Bead Board Cottages is about to any new followers. As with craftsmanship it’s a passion of mine. New England style at its best on a warm summer day. These styles and details I’m talking about are what I really love about a home. A Half Cape home on Cape Cod or by the shore with cedar shakes, white trim and a garden full of hydrangeas and climbing roses.

Amazing backyard home office/studio this would make. Bead board ceiling details, wood flooring, raised panel wainscoting, all trimmed out and cedar shakes on the outside. Plans in the office ready for a customer.
