Make sure you flash & counter-flash your decks properly, and remember - gutters will save you a major headache down the road! They wick water away from your home. Moisture leads to rot. Rot leads to mold, moss & fungi, and infestation.

Working on a centuries old home, you have no idea what you're gonna come across once you start peeling back layers! 😆 This project had all sorts of fun surprises: a gate valve failed after I took the sink off, the old faucet broke down completely upon reinstallation, minor rot behind the sink after years of said faulty faucet leaking, and decades of wall coverings.

At the end of it all - new laminate countertops, Delta faucet, painted drywall, and butcher block with backsplash, ball shutoff valves for the sink, and re-wired outlet box! 😁

New challenges and learning experiences every day working as a handyman. 😊

Couldn't have completed this project without help from the best assistant/fiancé around. ❤️

Thank you to the tenants, Sam, Kevin, & Ozzy, for all their patience and kindness - working in apartments brings it's own set of challenges, and this project presented most of them!
