Discounted Agave — 100% Healthy

This agave grew a little unevenly after being planted slightly too deep in its nursery pot, so it doesn’t have the same full, symmetrical shape as my regular inventory. It is completely healthy, well-rooted, and ready to plant. Once established in the landscape, it should continue filling out with new growth.

Late summer is still a great time to plant!

A lot of people think they have to wait until spring, but many cactus, agaves, and desert plants establish very well when planted now. The warm soil encourages root growth, and with proper watering they’ll be in a much better position to handle winter.

A few tips for late-season planting:
Plant in well-draining soil.
Water deeply after planting, then allow the soil to dry between waterings.
Avoid overwatering—especially with agaves and cactus.
Give new plants a little extra attention for the first few weeks.

If you’re looking to add low-maintenance, drought-tolerant plants to your landscape, now is still an excellent time.
