Well, it has been a while since I have been on Facebook. I scored this table from the side of the road for I think $30. It is an antique parlor table from the late 1920s. I show how to easily restore antiques with the classic shellac and wax finish. Thank you for watching 🥰

This table had too many Slime parties.

The previous finish was etched into by the Slime drying and pulling the surface of the clear coat.

It took some elbow grease to clean out the distressed areas. Hot water, stiff plastic scrub brush, little Dawn concentrate, and a wore out green Scotchbrite.

That allowed me to have a fresh clean surface to even begin the finishing process.

This is a barn style door that I used Minwax Polyshades. It is a polyurethane with tint in it. If you are not careful it will sag and run. That is why I did it so fast
