Happy Veterans Day to all of the brave men and women who have served our country 🇺🇸

Veterans Day (originally called Armistice Day) was formed to celebrate the end of World War I, at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918.

Years later, the VA home loan guaranty program was created to help returning World War II veterans transition to civilian life by providing government-backed loans for homes, farms, and businesses. If you are a veteran:
1. Thank you for your dedicated service to protect our country.
2. Please look into VA loans when financing your home. You can save a lot of money over the years though this program.
3. If you prefer to design your forever home, we're here for you. Private lenders are typically required for new-build, but it's still a great option.

Tomorrow we have the honor of sponsoring the 4th annual Cloud Covered Sundays benefit, which is to raise funds for the Cloud Covered Streets- Ft. Worth mobile shower trailer. CCS goes out 3 days each week to provide free showers, laundry, haircuts and essential supplies to people currently experiencing homelessness, and this fundraiser helps raise the money for their operation expenses for the year.

DCD Custom Home Plans is designing a cabin for W***y Braun from Reckless Kelly, up in Idaho. While sitting in plan design meetings with W***y, we had the opportunity to discuss CCS with him and how important this benefit is to us. He was so moved by what CCS does that he wanted to contribute as well, and donated this incredible opportunity to have him come play in your home.

Did you know that DCD Custom Home Plans can also help you with your home addition?

If you want to add on to your existing home, we can talk through your wishes, then work together on designing the perfect updates. As part of the process, Dylan and Sarah will come out and field measure your house to draw the as-built plans for the existing structure. Then from there we'll be able to draw up the additions for you to see what you're new dream home will look like.

On Sunday, we wrapped up the year doing some measurements for a client adding an entrance/exit ADA ramp to their business.

The city didn't have any plans on file for the property, so the scope widened up more than originally planned. But that's not a problem, we were able to accommodate and measure the property to expand the plans for submittal.

Home plans and additions require a lot of thought, collaboration, and communication - all which Dylan Daniel does with pride and professionalism.

In October, we were proud to be a sponsor for The Sarah Padgett Team Gives Back Charity Golf Tournament. We know not everyone has the need for custom home plans, so when they're in the market to buy an already-built home, we recommend The Sarah Padgett Team

This year's golf tournament raised $20,000 for Cloud Covered Streets- Ft. Worth. That money was used to provide Christmas gifts and meals for people currently experiencing homelessness or instability.

On Friday, Dylan and Sarah Ervin Padgett dressed up as Mr. & Mrs. Claus, and handed out a new rolling duffle bag, sleeping bag, gloves, toboggan and solar flashlight with Cloud Covered Streets. Everyone was so appreciative of the gifts, and seeing the direct impact of the money raised at the golf tournament makes us proud to have sponsored this event.
