Think your fuchsia needs water? 👀

Not so fast.

One of the biggest mistakes I see with fuchsias is overwatering. They can wilt when they’re thirsty, but they can also wilt when their roots are staying too wet.

Before reaching for the hose, check the soil first. Your plant might be asking for a break, not another drink. 💧🌸

🍌🎃 Have you ever grown a banana squash?

Despite the name, it doesn’t taste like bananas! These unique winter squash can grow over 2 feet long and weigh 10–20+ pounds. They’re packed with sweet orange flesh that’s perfect for roasting, soups, baking, and more.

One of the best things about banana squash? They store beautifully for months after harvest, making them a great addition to any vegetable garden.

Don’t panic if your hanging basket starts splitting in the middle. 🌸

It usually means it’s time for a haircut! Trimming back overgrown stems encourages branching, fills in the center, and gives you a fuller basket for the rest of the summer.

A little trim now = a much prettier basket in a few weeks. ✂️🌿

Let’s create something beautiful together 🌿✨

These are a few of the custom planters I recently put together for a client’s property. I always try to design each pot with a purpose—thinking about color, texture, growth habits, sun exposure, and how everything will work together as the season goes on.

I thought it would be fun to show a little bit of the process and explain why I chose certain plants and combinations.
