Is your thermostat from the 1900s? Mine definitely was until I upgraded to a . I was able to install it in about an hour with no HVAC professional required. I also added smart sensors to our bedrooms, so we are not heating or cooling rooms that are unoccupied, keeping it comfortable and energy efficient. Lux Thermostat can be paired with your smart home device, but if you are one of the last hold outs, like me, an additional app or device is not required. I am so glad I brought this detail of my home into this century.

I am the absolute luckiest to be the center of the universe for these three little people.

I am the one they fight over to put them to bed. I am the the person they run to when they get hurt or when they do something great. I am the person they are most excited to share their art work with and the one to hear about the kid at school who called them a name. I am it.

Motherhood is hard and tiring and fun and inspiring. It is so many things. And it is the honor of my life being their mom.

Thank you for this snapshot of my mothering.

Happy Mother’s Day! May all the mothers be celebrated for the gravity they hold being the center of someone’s universe.

Hang out with me while I get my deck ready for spring. The smartest upgrade? Swapping in this outdoor sconce with outlet. It has a hidden plug (genius), which completely changed how I use the space.

My deck runs the full length of the house but only had one outlet—now I can plug in my power washer, string lights, and even a speaker for easy entertaining.

This app is going to change my life! But seriously, I just downloaded about a week ago. It was so easy to use their quick add feature to create a full list of all my plants. I’m not exaggerating to say until this app I watered all 20 of my plants twice a week. I quickly learned that each plant needs individual care, and most do not need to be watered twice a week. created a very easy to use watering, fertilizer and misting schedule. It also shows gives me suggestions for plants that aren’t in the best health. I am really excited to use this app to help my plants thrive!

I’m in the early stages of my basement upgrade. The biggest element of this project is changing out the carpet. I decided to keep it simple and shop at my local . They stock many styles of laminate and LVP. Did you know Lowe’s has samples available to take just under their displays? I grabbed several to take back and look at it with my paint and fabric swatches.

I honed in on LVP, specifically brand. I love this brand and recommend to my clients often. I am excited to install this pet and kid-friendly, waterproof floor in my basement.

The purpose of my account to share beauty, beauty of the home I create, beauty in art and the world around us and the beauty of the messiness of life and motherhood. In these squares, love sharing my values - kindness, creativity and uplifting others. Those values are in everything I do. They are in the way I come to relationships, the way I mother and teach my kids, they way I design and those values are in how I show up here.

Kindness, creativity and uplifting others naturally guide me in my political beliefs. This administration stands for none of that, unless you count the creative and new ways they come up with to be cruel and brutalize its citizens.

I speak up because my kids are watching. I would want them to stand up to a bully, and none of us should think our life may be in danger if we do so. This is America, a beautiful melting pot of cultures and people. Living together in harmony through kindness, creativity and uplifting our neighbors is my dream for now and forever.

I’ve been hustling for too long. I need a bit of a life and priority edit in 2026. I’m feeling the pull to bring back the Kon Mari method, pick everything up from physical items, to “shoulds” I’ve assigned myself for years and decide if each sparks joy. And edit the ones that do not.

I thought I had settled on the word “less,” because the biggest outcome I am looking for at the end of the year is to feel lighter, but when I think about the things that bring me joy, it’s not necessarily less, just the right edit of things.

The word edit also reminds me that once upon a time I wanted to be a magazine editor. I wanted to share my thoughts, style and musings in a curated way. I created my blog as a place to do that and the inspiration I found through the process of creating that online space was life giving. In the trend back toward nostalgic and analog things, I’m hoping to sort through what is the most joyful and community building way to show up here on this platform. Thanks for following along!
