This exterior project was a big one.
The home went through a major color change, and the finished result gave it a completely different look from the street.
But a project like this is never just about paint.
Before we could get to the final finish, there was a lot of repair work that had to be handled first. The dormers had water damage and rotting wood that needed attention, along with trim boards, window casings, siding repairs, and a full round of caulking throughout the entire exterior.
Some of the trim had been partially replaced, so we had to cut out damaged areas, rebuild sections with 2-part filler, recaulk all the seams, and make sure everything was ready before paint ever went on the house.
We also installed PVC trim along the roofline where water runoff had been breaking down the siding over time. That was an important part of helping this exterior hold up better moving forward.
This one took a lot of prep, patience, and detail work, but the final result was well worth it.
A big thank you to Christin Homes for jumping in on short notice and helping us with the trim repairs around the dormers. They also helped us get the roofline trim detail taken care of, which was a key part of correcting one of the problem areas on this home.
