Your front door is the first thing guests come into contact with when they enter your home. Decorating your front door can be as simple as purchasing a wreath from your favorite store or creating your own with a metal ring form.
I have found I enjoy changing my wreath for the different seasons using a metal ring form and individual floral stems that can be attached with floral wire.

Choosing The Right Paint Color!?

Choosing the perfect paint color whether it be interior or exterior is no easy task! We certainly have our "go to" paint colors that we love to use but here are some easy and helpful tips to find that perfect paint color for your home!

1. INSPIRATION! INSPIRATION!

* We find it super helpful to utilize the internet for paint
color inspiration - What room/s are you looking to
paint? How is the room used? Does it get natural light?
* What colors do you love?

2. UNDERSTAND PAINT SAMPLES

* Never hold more than one paint sample up against the
wall.
* The darkest color on the paint strip is the truest color.
* All of the paint colors on the strip are either cool or
warm. They are never half warm and half cool. It's one
or the other. So know if you are going for a more cool
feeling or a more warm feeling.

3. HOLD THE PAINT SAMPLE UP TO SOMETHING WHITE

* Often times holding the paint sample up to something
white will help you see the true undertones of the
paint. Knowing this will be a huge help in choosing the
right color.

4. PAINT A SMALL AREA

* Once you feel like you "might" have that right color -
paint a small area on the wall you are painting. Go back
to it periodically to determine if thats the right color you
are going for. After a few days you will be sure to know
whether its the right one or the wrong one!

DIY Days: 10 DIY Projects We Promise Will Save You Money
#10- Wall Art from Books
If you have been following our DIY Days projects you will recall our wooden hanger project.
At the time of that post I did not have art to hang in the hangers.
As soon as the thrift stores opened I knew I wanted to look for a book that contained some art prints.
I found a book titled Birds of America. It caught my attention because it was a vintage book and because bird art is a growing trend right now.
There were so many fun vintage prints of different birds and the colors were exactly what I wanted.
I tore them out and didn’t even clean up the torn sides as I like that part of it. I mounted them on black paper and hung them in my wooden hangers.
Total cost for an entire wall of art:
$.99- vintage book
$7.99- wooden hangers
Excuse my uncovered outlet. We painted our bathroom over quarantine.
