As most companies during these past few weeks, here at VanDerKolk Painting, we have been finding new ways to adapt, communicate, and take forward steps as we eagerly wait for the economy to resume. Currently, we are limiting the workforce to two person crews, adhering to hygiene guidelines, and daily self-administered health checks. Most importantly is communication around all aspects of our jobs, understanding expectations, and delivering quality work in a safe manner. We are thankful that this short interruption is coming during the spring season allowing us to do some needed updates to our equipment and facilities in preparation for our busy season.



We wanted to assure you, our clients, that we are in the process of lining up spring schedules. If you have not heard from us yet, we will be in contact soon to arrange tentative start dates. With warmer weather upon us, we are already seeing the increase in demand for exterior painting!



Additionally, we are focusing more attention than in the past on industrial sandblasting and painting jobs as these naturally permit social distancing. Personally, I am looking more forward than ever to what our new normal looks like, as well as seeing freshly painted surfaces indicating Spring and Freedom!

Shout out to Orlando Morales for recently completing our VDK WAY Training Center. He expertly crafted a mock residential interior complete with walls, trim and ceiling. It even has can lights in the ceiling. Plus, we have an exterior as well where we can practice painting wood windows, spraying siding, and how to protect shingles. Our painter’s both young and experienced will be trained to do everything correctly and the same way. We call it the VDK WAY!
