A client called this week with a blockage in their wood stove flu. What it was blocked with was the previous chimney sweeps brush and rod. The rod has gotten quite cooked over the years.

Yesterday I did an inspection and sweep for someone selling their house. One of the 2 fireplaces I had to tell them they couldn't use because they had a chimney fire.
