Got some beautiful (monstrous) dieffenbachia cuttings from a wonderful customer 😍 One of my driving factors for starting my business is simply growing things! πŸͺ΄ I can't wait to get these rooted and continue their growth for hopefully many years to come.

Plants are SO resilient and I'm always fascinated by their adaptations and ability to just.... keep going. This resonates with me, the desire to keep growing, keep learning, and always adapting to whatever challenges pop up. Seriously mind boggling that you can just chop off the tops of this plant and it will continue to thrive!!

Added bonus: I'm able to offer much lower prices by cutting out (no pun intended) a middleman and growing the bulk of my plants πŸ˜†

Happy growing 🌱🌡πŸͺ΄

Let's talk about pet safe plants! Having two dogs and a cat that LOVE to munch on plants at home, knowing which plants are safe is a must.

Most cacti and succulents are pet safe.. but can be a risk due to the spines and barbs. Some of my favorite pet safe cacti/succulents are Christmas Cacti, Echiveria, and Haworthias.

Most tropicals are actually toxic to dogs and cats, but the ones pictured are some of my go-to recommendations: Polka dot plants, String of Turtles, Pepperomias, Goldfish Plants, and Creeping Charlie. Pepperomias come in SO many varieties and are easy to care for. Fun fact... Spider plants are a mild hallucinagenic for cats! So I think that makes them cat "safe" πŸ˜†

I have some catnip and cat grass available as well! All pet safe plants are marked with a green tag, but feel free to ask if you're ever unsure.

Another option if you can't resist a beautiful toxic plant... hang them out of reach! Or there is a "bitter" spray that is safe for your plant AND discourages your pet from snacking on them 😊

Went corm hunting! Found a corm, set it down somewhere in my dirt pile πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Speaking of corms, voodoo lilies are here! AKA the co**se flower. They will go through a vegetative stage prior to their flowering stage. If the corms are mature enough, we might get a small stinky flower come fall/winter! These come in all kinds of varieties and I'm so excited to see what happens. Stay tuned for progress pics throughout the year 😁

This particular variety is an called Arum Cornutum and my first time growing one!
