Repairs , patchwork, matching old to new … this is where our real skill shines ! Never has there been a time when someone called us to tie into an existing floor, or replace a section of flooring and we couldn’t complete the job to perfection! Here is a quick 2 day job we did at the end of last week ! We replaced a decent amount of red birch flooring and sanding the entire area. Looks brand new ! Call us for your hardwood flooring needs ! The area around the fireplace mantle had existing tile that needed to be carefully removed without damaging the surrounding surfaces—and that’s where hiring a true professional makes all the difference. PSA: If you see construction workers moving a little slower right now… just know we’re still emotionally recovering from Snowstorm Elsa 😅❄️

You try digging, pouring, measuring, and pretending your fingers still exist after Mother Nature said, “Let’s ruin all your timelines.”

We didn’t fall behind… we were strategically delayed by ice, snow, and questionable life choices involving working in Wisconsin.

So please give your local construction crews a little grace—we promise we’re working as fast as humanly possible (and as fast as our frozen tools will allow).

Spring is coming… allegedly. 🌷😂

The fun part has officially started! 🔨✨

Yesterday we started racking out this beautiful new hardwood floor, and today the install is underway. We’re installing Sheoga Character Grade 5 1/4” Hickory flooring — sourced from a great local supplier in Ohio. The variation, knots, and character in this wood are going to make this floor absolutely stunning when it’s finished.

One of the coolest moments of the project happened yesterday. The homeowner’s 13-year-old son wrote his name on the subfloor before it gets covered.

100+ years from now, if this floor ever gets replaced, someone will pull up a board and find a little piece of history underneath. How cool is that?

We love being part of projects that turn houses into homes. 🏡

🚧 What’s underneath your floor matters more than you think! 🚧

This week's project started with removing tile, and now we’re professionally sanding the subfloor to get it perfectly level before the new flooring goes in. This step is often skipped by inexperienced installers, but it makes a huge difference in how your finished floor looks and performs.

During the demo we also discovered the customer previously had a refrigerator leak, so we pulled out our moisture meter to check the subfloor and make sure there’s no hidden water damage before moving forward. If moisture is present, sections of the subfloor may need to be repaired first — and catching that now prevents much bigger problems later.

💡 This is why experience matters.

When our customer bought this home, the lower level was filled with LVP flooring. Instead of settling, they made the smart choice: they had us remove every inch and replace it with brand new red oak hardwood floors.
