FYI - This post is a short story, the long version would need a publisher to be turned into a book.
First off, where'd "Lord's Of The Land Landscaping" come from?! Well, it's a mix of my love for nature and history.
Nature is the building blocks of Life, without it, this planet wouldn't exist..in a habitable state anyways. And history teaches us lessons, what worked and what to avoid. Combine the two, you get a Naturalist/Environmentalist, one who cares deeply for the planet which supports all life with an understanding of how it all ties together.
Landscaping is "hard" work. I quote that because it's how others describe it. Basically since I could walk as a small child, I've been landscaping, I grew up with this type of work known to me as "having fun". Others disagree and find quick easy ways to do a job, I prefer "the hard way" because it builds character, muscle, wisdom, and pride in the phenomenal results that came to be.
Speaking of "the hard way", everyone has their own way of doing things. Just because one way works for someone, doesn't mean it's the best way. Being lazy doesn't float my boat, easy is boring, and "good enough" isn't a phrase I use when I aim to say "I'm proud of this.".
My vision, Lord Jesse, that I have for my upcoming company is fairly simple. I'm here to help. My resumé of previous jobs is impressive in my opinion considering the different things I've done and all the experience I've gained from each throughout the years. It's a bore for me to stick to just one thing, feels like a waste of my life when I know I can do so much more with it. The purpose of Lord's Of The Land Landscaping is to bring back what's now considered ancient ways, while going about it in a modern style.
Furthermore, mentioned my love for nature earlier, let me explain how I feel about it all. The sound of birds tweeting, chirping and singing their songs is bliss in my ears, seeing chipmunks and squirrels racing around preparing for the changing seasons is an easy laugh, petting a wild deer makes my heart skip a beat. I don't just want to make your property look good, I wish to take care of our little friends as well and help wildlife thrive.
I am against poisons being used, it adds to the overall death toll. When you poison a slug/rat/etc., sometimes the dead thing gets eaten by its natural predator and up the foodchain that poison goes, often up to human consumption, although usually diluted into small amounts..but it's still there. Everything is connected, and when we go pulling out a main supporter, things can topple and we're left with a bigger mess than we started with.
Nature is a valuable ally when combating its lesser desired parts. Slugs for example; they eat decaying matter which can spread disease..they also eat everything else it seems with a gluttonous appetite. Although a poison may do the trick at killing them and keeping your plants safe, the ecosystem wobbles as a result. Through natural observation and tests, I've found different ways how to repel them using the environment against them. Snakes, lizards, and shrews eat slugs and will work for free for you, to them it's survival. I'm an animal lover and want to ensure your animal friends and family are safe, whether that's wildlife or pets, every animal is awesome in its own way, just like plants!
With all that I've wrote, I'd like to also add that I'm humble enough to appreciate your business. I've heard of people turning down jobs because it doesn't pay enough, it's gross, it hurts, there's too much/not enough to do, and other lame excuses. Work is work, it has to be done, and I've got the ability to make it happen.
