Anyone with access to WGRD (Goddard)/WGRH (Hardwick) 97.1 FM, can learn more about worm composting, native plants & other gardening topics, tomorrow (Weds., 6/8), from 8:45 AM until possibly, 9:15 AM. The show is called The Quilting Hour & is focused towards women. Deborah Reger, also host of the Moccasin Path, will be tomorrow's host. We're both really looking forward to our conversation. Hope you can join us.

It's a new year with big changes! Biggest of all is the "retirement" of the "Less Wacky Worm Sister", (my real sister), Carol Schminke, the founder of "Down To Earth Worm Farm of Vt., almost 8 years ago. Carol is looking forward to a less hectic schedule & enjoying gardening on her own. Good Luck Carol! "What a long, strange trip it's been!" But lots of excitement!

I'm very proud of myself! I had a flat tire due to a damaged rim, (probably my classic "Tire meets Curb" scenario!) I found a jack & after the 3rd try & 1 good, strong, flat rock-atop-the-soft-sand later, had the tire in the air, 4 of 5 lug nuts off. The last one finally succumbed to my superior muscles. I located a replacement rim, had the tire switched & put it back on my van myself!!!!!

I went to a good Facebook class today, which was taught by Ann Hagman Cardinal, from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. It was sponsored by the Vt. Women's Business Center. Vt. is so good to women with small businesses, offering all kinds of free workshops & classes. I think i must have doubled what I know about how to navigate my Pages, but hope they don't change things again before I get used to the new stuff!
