When I started this dining table makeover, I thought I might end up having to paint it. Veneer issues. Deep water rings. Sounds like it would be easier to paint, right? But after repairing veneer damage, sanding, and crossing my fingers, I think this gel-stained top may have changed my mind.

Now on to the legs. They are going to be a challenge, but sometimes furniture tells you what it wants to be.

Not every furniture makeover starts with paint. Sometimes it starts with repairs. 🔨

Today’s project: rebuilding and strengthening table legs before the fun part begins.

It’s not the glamorous side of refinishing, but it’s one of the most important. A beautiful finish doesn’t mean much if a piece isn’t solid and ready for another generation of use.

A little glue, a little epoxy clay, a little patience, and a lot of problem-solving.

The goal isn’t just to make furniture look beautiful—it’s to make it functional again.

Stay tuned to see this dining table’s transformation. 🤍

✨ What I’m Working On This Week ✨

There is no shortage of projects around here!

This week I’m juggling a few transformations:

🌿 Giving a lingerie chest and bedside table a whole new look.

🪑 Refinishing a table and reupholstering chairs.

🏠 A front porch refresh with a new front door color.

One of my favorite parts of the process is imagining what each project can become. Sometimes the vision comes quickly, and sometimes I stare at it for days before the right color or fabric clicks.

I’m excited to share the progress—and the finished results—with you over the next few days!

Which project are you most interested in following?

✨These elegant bronze wall sconces featuring warm woven fabric shades and dual installation options bring instant warmth and character to any space. The woven shades create the softest glow, while the bronze finish and twisted cord detail add timeless charm.

These versatile sconces can be used as:
✔ Plug-in wall lamps with cords
✔ Hardwired permanent fixtures

One of my favorite things about vintage-inspired lighting is how it makes a room feel lived in, welcoming, and layered—something that’s hard to achieve with builder-grade fixtures.

Whether flanking a bed, brightening a hallway, or creating a cozy reading nook, these sconces prove that lighting can completely change the feel of a room.

Be honest.

When you first look at this piece, do you see:

A. Giant outdated monster

B. Beautiful European armoire

C. Potential

D. A week’s worth of work I don’t have the energy for 😂

I already know my answer…

✨ Sometimes the smallest changes make the biggest difference.

A beautiful pair of lamps can add warmth, balance, and instant character to a bedroom. These elegant dark bronze table lamps bring warmth, balance, and timeless style to any space. Whether they’re flanking a buffet, anchoring a console table, or adding cozy light to a bedroom, they quietly make everything around them look better.

✨ Some pieces don’t just decorate a room—they define it.

This beautifully carved vintage mirror dates to approximately the 1930s–1940s and brings timeless Southern charm wherever it’s placed. The rich wood tones, elegant details, and classic silhouette are the kind of craftsmanship that’s hard to find today.

Whether hung in an entryway, dining room, or bedroom, it’s a piece that instantly makes a home feel collected, warm, and welcoming.

I can just imagine the stories this mirror could tell after nearly a century of reflecting family gatherings, holiday celebrations, and everyday life.

Would you style it in an entryway or over a buffet?
