🌿🌸Friday Flowers 🌸🌿
It’s Hydrangea season in NC and I love it so much!
I started with one plant that I got in one of my early Mother’s Day and I now have them lining the N/NE side of my house and they thrive there.
We’ve had a couple days of rain and they have been drinking it up. So, it’s the perfect time to cut some for bouquets.
I did not grow up around hydrangeas but they have become one of my top five favorite flowers.
What’s one of your favorite flowers?

Laundry Room Redo
Laundry rooms are a hard-working space. Ours is also a walkthrough between our garage and kitchen and how we enter and exit our home daily. We’ve been in our home 15 years and I have no one to blame for the finishes, like flooring and countertops except myself, lol. We finally decided to make some cosmetic changes.
My inspiration for the space was a peel and stick tile that had a gray floral design. But, when we had the time to tackle our project, I couldn’t find it in stock anywhere! We had to pivot, and we decided to go with another peel and stick tile, but in a basic marbleized black. This may have been a better decision because that floor gets a lot of abuse and the black hides a lot. But I was still stuck on that tile as a design inspiration, so I painted it onto a couple canvases (along with a touch of teal – my favorite color) and put them on the wall.
Besides the floor, we painted and built some shelves over the laundry machines. I love how it turned out! It’s now so fresh and bright and has extra storage so we no longer had to stack containers.
My husband and I are good at getting our projects about 90% done. The only thing left to do is to paint the laminate countertop and then the other side of the space will look like it belongs. My hope is to get it done in the next couple months.

It’s graduation time!!
It’s been so long since I created an actual post that I’d forgotten how to do it! 😂
But, I had so much fun making a new Keeper Kit for a past customer, I decided to share in my feed. 😊
It’s the season of graduations from all different grade milestones and a designated home for all the school papers and special momentos is the perfect gift!
If you are local to Greensboro NC and would like to order a Keeper Kit for someone (or yourself), send me a DM or visit the link in my bio. If you think the recipient would prefer to pick out the design themselves, gift certificates are available. 💕

Starting to put a plan together!
I was starting to worry about myself. 😂 it had been weeks without any motivation to organize anything.
Turns out I was waiting for schools to get a general plan of action together. Now that I know we are remote for 6+ weeks, I’m starting to pull together spaces for each of my kids to do their schoolwork.
My oldest has a desk in his room but I know there is major decluttering and organizing to do there. I’ll share that later once we tackle that project.
I have set up my youngest at a table in a room that has served many purposes over the years. It’s been a tradition living room, a consultation meeting room for a former home based business and now a remote learning room.
It’s not done yet. I still want to get a basket/crate to keep his text books, notebooks and school chrome book in. I’m also going to print out a very visible schedule so he knows what’s next.
For now my goal is to pull all the things he’ll need to get his work done into the same place in an organized way. No excuses to be wandering around getting distracted. 😉
Have you started planning your child’s space for schooling? What challenges are you dealing with?

School Supplies!!
I don’t know about you but I haven’t been sure what to do about school supplies this year. 🤪
Do we get what’s on the list even if we’re doing remote learning?
What do we have left over from last year? I somehow ended up with extra paper, dry erase markers and plastic folders.
So, before I shop for supplies I needed to gather all the supplies from around the house. Most things are in our dining room in the buffet. Other things are in my oldest’s bedroom at his desk and in a drawer in our kitchen.
I dragged it all out and put like with like on the dining room so I could evaluate things.
I don’t think I need to get all that much this year. We do need new backpacks, notebooks, some new sharpies (for me), 3x5 cards. And I think I’m going to wing it for the rest and get things when we need them.
Now that my kids are older (5th and 9th) I feel like the supplies needed aren’t as fun as they used to be. 😥
We’re starting the year remote and then we’ll see what happens. How about you?

Confession: I hate cleaning my hardwood floors and put it off for way too long.
I’ve seen this mop used by a few bloggers I follow and was hoping it be easier to use than what I’ve had for years.
I’m happy to say it was much easier to use which means I’ll be more motivated to do it more often!!
What’s your favorite product to use for cleaning hardwood floors?
