The homeowners opted for stair replacement on their deck as the old stairs had become too cumbersome to maintain and climb. Following removal of the old steps, the railing was trimmed back to ensure a full 36 inches of clearance between posts. New railings and a gate were fitted to finalize the Trex installation. The base cabinetry was custom-fabricated to a precise height. A bespoke natural wood countertop was planed and sanded, featuring integrated cutouts for appliance installation. Upper cabinetry was subsequently installed, accompanied by solid wood fillers. The painting team is currently awaiting the delivery of color-matched paint for both the fillers and the cabinet faces. These custom cabinets boast innovative design elements, including two doors that double as drawers with sturdy slides supporting 80 lbs. of dog food each. Pocket doors operate smoothly, sliding back into the wardrobe, while slow-close hinges and slides ensure effortless functionality across all doors and drawers.
