Happy Friday, friends 🌧️🤍

This weather has honestly been a little confusing for us this week. One minute the apps say heavy rain, the next it’s just sprinkling like today 😂 While light rain itself isn’t a huge deal for the stand, we’ve noticed that when the weather is gloomy and rain is forecasted, most people just don’t tend to come out.

So after going back and forth on it all week, we’ve decided not to put the stand out this Memorial Day weekend.

If you don’t mind a cozy rainy porch pickup, orders will be available tomorrow morning or Sunday depending on the pickup time you choose.

This rain has definitely had us brainstorming ways to better cover and protect the stand long-term because Texas weather has really been keeping us on our toes lately ☀️🌧️

We’re hoping the skies clear soon and that next weekend brings sunshine back with it. Until then, stay cozy, stay dry, and thank you all so much for continuing to support our little dream!

Not only were we able to meet some new faces, but we were also able to help a few people this weekend too, which meant so much to us. While The Golden Ranch is of course a business, our roots are deeply tied in helping others however we can 🤍

Supporting the stand also helps us continue giving back — whether that’s through our community pantry, helping families in small ways, or simply offering cleaner homemade food made with ingredients you can recognize 🌾

Every preorder, loaf of bread, cookie, and shared post helps move us one step closer to the land and homestead we’re working toward for our family and community ☀️

You all seriously showed up for us this weekend ☀️ We are officially down to just ONE sourdough loaf left for baked goods 🤍🌾

Everything else baked fresh for this weekend has sold out, which feels incredibly exciting after such a slow start here. Thank you truly for supporting our little stand.

We’re getting very close to selling out of this weekend’s baked goods, which honestly feels really exciting after such a slow start here ☀️

With the weather looking pretty rainy next weekend, there’s a good chance the stand may not be open — although Texas weather does love to surprise us 😅 Either way, preorders will open tomorrow for pickup next weekend and throughout the week in case the rain keeps the stand tucked away.

We’ve been a little quiet this week after our house got hit with something that had us pretty concerned about Harrison for a bit, but thankfully everyone is doing okay ☀️

Because of that — and because we’re still slowly building traction here — quantities at the stand are very limited this week. Think one or two of each item instead of full batches 🌾 But I was still able to get a few homemade favorites out there for the weekend.

🍞 At the stand this week:

As for Memorial Day weekend — we’re keeping an eye on the weather. If the rain ends up being too much, the stand may stay closed, but if all goes well it’ll be the kickoff of our summer menu 🇺🇸 with berry scones, patriotic whoopie pies, and a few other fun seasonal items we’re testing out 🤍

We’ve been really intentional about the candles we bring into the stand 🤎

Right now we’re carrying candles from Seventh House Candle Co. and they honestly fit The Golden Ranch perfectly 🌾

These candles are hand-poured in small batches using natural soy and coconut wax blends, which are known for a cleaner, slower burn with less soot than traditional paraffin candles ✨ They also use organic cotton wicks and fragrance oils that are free from phthalates, carcinogens, reproductive toxins, and many of the harsher chemicals commonly found in store-bought candles.

One thing we especially loved is that their candles are designed to feel cozy without being overwhelming. Warm scents, clean ingredients, soft glow… just the kind of thing that makes a house feel lived in and comforting 🤍

Current favorites at the stand:
🤎 Torched Sugar — brown sugar & rum
🤎 Porter — chocolate, bourbon & vanilla

We even keep one going on the warmer at the stand so you can smell them before bringing one home ☀️🕯️

Getting the stand ready for the weekend 🤍🌿

This week we’ve got:

🍞 From the Kitchen
• NEW cinnamon rolls (bigger & better, still packed with that brown butter flavor 🤍)
• Vanilla peach jam 🍑
• Sourdough animal cookies 🐄
• Dehydrated sourdough starter ($5 if you’ve been wanting to try it!)

🌱 From the Garden
• $2 tomato starter plants
• Fresh herbs in the fridge

🥖 Pantry Staples
• Homemade vanilla extract
• Vanilla Sugar
• Sourdough Crackers

The vanilla peach jam has been a favorite over cheese and crackers, and my kids even loved it on sourdough PB&Js this week ☀️

We also have our small community pantry out this weekend. If you’re willing to donate shelf-stable foods or hygiene items, we’d love the help — and if you’re someone in need, please feel free to stop by and take what you need as well 🤍
