SOUTHPORT \ CONNECTICUT

A series of defined outdoor rooms set along the water’s edge.

In Southport, CT, clipped hedges and aligned trees establish a clear structure—organizing arrival, framing views, and guiding movement across the property.

The planting remains restrained, allowing form, proportion, and the waterfront setting to lead—creating a landscape that feels both composed and deeply connected to its surroundings.

We are celebrating World Landscape Architecture Month, with today being Professional Landscape Architects Day.

Landscape architecture shapes how you move through a space—where you enter, where you pause, and where you end up staying longer than you planned.

These are a few of those moments.

At the heart of the vegetable garden, an intricate metal pergola by Branch Studio serves as both structure and sculpture. Peach-toned climbing roses weave through its frame, softening the geometry and adding a romantic counterpoint to the productive garden beds below.

Nestled in the rolling hills of Fairfield County, this historically significant Southport property was reimagined to honor its Georgian Revival heritage while supporting contemporary family life, creating a landscape that bridges past and present. Across 4.5 acres, the design transitions from formal garden spaces to a more open landscape, reflecting the property's enduring legacy and evolving character.

FAIRFIELD \ CONNECTICUT

Formerly a mundane parking area, the space has been transformed into a captivating pool garden, offering panoramic views of the Sound. Our design ethos seamlessly integrates traditional and contemporary elements, notably showcased in creating a contemporary pool that captivates and invites visitors to the site’s optimal space for viewing Long Island Sound. Embracing a hands-on collaboration approach, we crafted a serene vegetable and cutting garden adorned with sculptural elements, enclosed by a decorative cedar fence. This space provides sanctuary and artistic expression, aligning perfectly with the current landscape trend of homesteading. Every detail, from the whimsical bronze lovebirds perched on the cedar fence to the meticulously curated plant selection, underscores our unwavering commitment to excellence.
