Janice Parker Landscape Architects Creating Visionary Landscapes. EXPLORE
We begin by working together to develop an understanding of your project and program.

Through our investigative process we explore what you want from your landscape and how to best accomplish your goals. Together we arrive at an understanding of your style and taste and we determine the best choices to make in creating a Design Plan – one that is unique for your site, budget and your dreams. COMMUNICATE
Once the Design Plan is in place, we research, engineer and develop the constru

ction documents. We will stay in close communication with you as we advance all elements of the design. This is a key phase for creating unique details as we develop a landscape that suits you as well as the site. ORCHESTRATE
When the construction drawings and specifications are complete, we help you select your contractors. As construction starts we provide the orchestration – supervision and administration of the construction documents and site work. We represent you, and will make sure the goals of the project are met and the design is fully realized by the materials, fabrication, and workmanship of the contractors. We are dedicated to the follow-through of our collaboration. Once the landscape is in place, we will leave you with only one thing to do… Enjoy!

This landscape was designed around a family’s wish to live more actively and more closely connected to fresh food. We positioned the vegetable garden as the anchor of the property, shaping everything else around it.

Beds of salad greens, herbs, tomatoes, broccoli, and seasonal crops are framed by structured pathways and traditional fencing, giving the space both purpose and rhythm.

New construction, but you'd never know it. A progression of plantings, from structured foundation beds to soft, coastal grasses and hydrangea, that gives this property an immediate and lasting sense of place. Something we're proud of.

There was a strong need for a practical landscape for living. Stone paths and terraces with grass jointing create the framework. Stone terraces step down with the grade, a fishpond parallel to the dining terrace is surrounded by flower and herb gardens. The use of long hedge rows of ‘limelight’ hydrangeas and layered evergreens, as well as small rounded Coral Burst crabapples disguise the fencing and create a privacy solution. The far edge of the property is layered with fruiting orchard apple trees.
