After completing more than 200 faith-based projects, we can honestly say this was the largest groundbreaking celebration we have ever had the privilege to be a part of. What makes this moment even more meaningful is seeing a vision that began years ago finally become reality for the St. Mary Catholic Church community in Gypsum.

At Eidos Architects, we believe great architecture is about more than beautiful renderings. We are passionate about helping communities move projects from vision to reality and getting them BUILT. We are incredibly grateful to the parish community, Father Jose Maria, Horizon West Builders, and everyone who helped make this day possible. What an unforgettable celebration of faith, community, and the future.

We loved being part of the Cherry Creek Innovation Campus CTE Hiring & Career Fair, where students had the chance to connect with industry professionals and explore their future paths.

As the only architecture firm there, we were proud to bring a different perspective to the table, sharing what architecture really looks like beyond the classroom and helping students imagine themselves in this field. After hosting two interns from this campus last summer, it’s been incredible to keep that momentum going.

These conversations are where passion starts, and we’re excited to help guide it in the right direction!

In Colorado, April 20th remains a solemn day of remembrance for the lives lost at Columbine High School.

At Eidos, we were honored to collaborate with the Columbine community on projects aimed at thoughtfully enhancing and adapting the school’s environment, work grounded in respect, reflection, and a commitment to the future. These efforts sought not only to honor those whose lives were tragically taken, but also to celebrate the resilience, strength, and spirit that define the Columbine Rebels.

We are proud to have contributed in a small way to that ongoing story. Today, and always, we remember the 13 individuals lost 27 years ago.

Eidos Architects recently had the opportunity to visit the historic Summit Brick plant in Lakewood Colorado, an experience that deepened our appreciation for both the craft and innovation behind masonry.

During the tour, we explored the traditional process of manufacturing standard brick, gaining insight into the materials, techniques, and precision that have defined the industry for generations. We were also fortunate to be joined by Professor Brian Gorman of the Colorado School of Mines, who introduced us to an exciting advancement in sustainable materials: Carbon Core. This innovative masonry brick actively absorbs carbon from the air after it has been produced, making its production effectively net-zero energy, a compelling step forward for the future of low-carbon construction.

It was an inspiring day of learning, connecting past and future, and honoring the legacy of brickmaking while exploring how new technologies can reshape the built environment.

Thank you to Summit Brick and Professor Gorman for an engaging and insightful visit!

As Emma Chase once said, “Reading brings knowledge and knowledge is power; therefore reading is power. The power to know and learn and understand… but also the power to dream.”

Eidos Architects was honored to celebrate the ribbon cutting at DSST Elevate, unveiling their new library. This project was driven by the belief that a library is more than a place to hold books, it’s a space where curiosity is sparked, imagination is ignited, and lifelong learning begins. We are incredibly proud to have been part of this passion project and to help create a place where students can discover, grow, and dream!

Eidos Architects was honored to join the ribbon-cutting celebration for the newly renovated outdoor courtyard at the Marvin Foote Youth Services Center.

Eidos Architects has partnered with Colorado Department of Human Services on several projects across the Marvin Foote campus. Alongside the courtyard designer, OZ Architecture, we supported their work with safety and security review and fast-track infrastructure improvements that helped lay the groundwork for the renovations. This builds on our recently completed statewide assessment of all 10 Department of Youth Services facilities across Colorado, advancing environments that promote healing, dignity, and opportunity.

We are grateful to the Denver Broncos foundation for donating this meaningful project and for their continued commitment to Colorado’s youth. A special thank-you to Denver Broncos left tackle Garrett Bolles for spending time with the young people at Marvin Foote. Your presence and encouragement makes a real difference.

Projects like this highlight the power of partnership and shared purpose in strengthening our communities.

Building Spaces That Give Students Something to “Read and Write About”

In the 1995 film Mr. Holland’s Opus, we follow the story of Glenn Holland, a young composer who finds himself teaching to pay the bills while pursuing his dream of writing a symphony. Over three decades, the movie captures the evolution of education (from the 1960s to the 1990s) and the relentless struggle schools face to stretch limited budgets further each year.

As programs are cut and priorities shift, one area always seems to take the hardest hit: the arts.

At one point, Mr. Holland’s vice principal, caught in a difficult position, says:

“If I’m forced to choose between Mozart and reading, writing and long division, I choose long division.”

To which Mr. Holland replies,

“You can cut the arts as much as you want… but sooner or later, these kids aren’t going to have anything to read or write about.”

That line has stuck with us.

At Eidos Architects, we are thrilled to have been part of so many auditorium and performance space projects recently, spaces that give students not just a stage, but a voice.

We’ve heard firsthand how much these environments mean to them, how music, theater, and the arts complete their educational experience and help them discover who they are.

These spaces are more than buildings, they’re foundations for imagination, empathy, and inspiration.

They are where students learn not just how to write, but why to write. Here’s to continuing to build the places where creativity takes center stage.
