🧹 Fence looking a little dull after winter? A simple cleaning makes a huge difference. For vinyl and aluminum, a garden hose and mild soap is all you need. For wood, a low-pressure wash (easy on the PSI!) removes dirt and mildew without damaging the grain.

For wood: Use a low-pressure washer or a scrub brush with a wood-safe cleaner. Avoid blasting it β€” high pressure can raise the grain and do more harm than good. Once dry, it's a great time to apply a fresh coat of stain or sealant.

Your fence will thank you. 🌿

But when your fence could use a little more love, call us!

There's a reason cedar has been the gold standard for fencing in Colorado for decades.

Western Red Cedar β€” the cedar we use β€” is naturally resistant to rot, insects, and the kind of weather the Front Range likes to throw around (wind storms, sudden snow, intense sun, you name it). It ages into a warm, silvered patina if you let it. Or you can stain it and keep that rich golden tone year after year.

It feels different than vinyl or composite. There's a warmth to real wood that homeowners come back to even when there are technically lower-maintenance options on the market. Cedar isn't trying to be anything else β€” and that's why it lasts.

Great Neighbor Fence builds cedar privacy fences, board-on-board, stockade, and custom designs across the Denver metro β€” installed by a family-owned crew that treats your yard like our own. Built to last 20+ years, backed by our craftsmanship warranty.

If a cedar fence is on the list, we'd be honored to take a look. Free on-site estimates through the link.

The fence isn't really for the yard. It's for the dog who finally gets to be a dog.
Across the Denver metro area, a common reason we get called isn't curb appeal, security, or property value (though those help) β€” it's a four-legged member of the family who deserves to run a little.

Diggers, jumpers, escape artists, senior dogs, brand-new puppies β€” we've fenced for them all. Our crews know which materials hold up to claws, which heights stop the leapers, and which gates are easy enough for kids and grandparents to operate while still keeping the dog contained.

If you've been putting it off because you weren't sure where to start, that's exactly what our free on-site estimates are for. We come out, look at your yard and your dog's particular brand of mischief, and put together a plan that works for both.
Wood, vinyl, aluminum, composite, or chain link β€” built to last. Let's get your dog outside.

One of the most common questions we get: "Should I go with wood or vinyl?" Here's the honest answer β€” it depends on what matters most to you.

πŸͺ΅ Wood (Western Red Cedar is what we use) is beautiful, natural, and customizable. It can be stained any color, repaired board by board, and has a warmth that vinyl just can't match. Downside: it needs staining every few years to stay looking its best.
🀍 Vinyl is virtually maintenance-free β€” no staining, no rotting, no insects. It holds its color and shape for years. The tradeoff is less customization and a higher upfront cost.

Both are great options. The right one depends on your budget, your HOA, and how much time you want to spend maintaining it. We'll walk you through both when we come out for your free estimate.

Quick spring fence tip from your friends at Great Neighbor Fence. 🌿
After a long winter, walk your fence line and look for three things: leaning posts, loose or rusted hardware, and any boards touching wet soil or mulch. Catching these early can add years to your fence's life β€” and save you from a bigger repair down the road.
If yours is showing its age (or just isn't doing it for you anymore), we'd love to take a look. Reach out today for a free, no-pressure quote β€” we'll help you figure out whether a repair or a fresh install makes the most sense.
