The team traveled to Beaver Creek Speedway in Toney, AL for the Maxxamillion Kart Race. We wanted to improve on what we did last year from our 9th place in the Pro Millionaire race.

We unloaded looking for speed. During the last class practice, I ended up spinning and hitting the fence head on about 50 mph destroying our Haskins Performance Products body. We went into qualifying still looking for speed. Clone lite, we qualified 11th out of 12. Clone Medium, we qualified 23rd out of 26. Halfway through the qualifying session, we had a rain delay. That changed everything. We also decided to change engines and clutches for the Pro Millionaire qualifying. We think we found our overall speed problem, but missed it on tires because of the rain. Pro Millionaire, we qualified 34th out of 36. We unfortunately did not make the big show.
Mother Nature would eventually end the night. (That’s another story for another day). They would go back to the qualifying results for the payouts.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to show off the speed we think we found. Overall, it was still a great day and learned a lot. We just have to put this one behind us and look forward to the next one.
