While I'm bummed that I won't have strawberries tomorrow, you will be able to find some great spring veggies in our booth! I was worried that the weird weather early on would cause all of the brassicas to bolt early and not develop, but everything is starting to come in beautifully.

We will have: cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage (2 sizes), beets, new potatoes, a few mixed plants and bouquets as well!

No onions of course, but beets are back for everyone who asked last week!

This will be your last chance to shop with us for 2 weeks because we are heading to the Friendship Flea Market and Mom is going with me!
I can't wait to see what's ready when I get home... peak produce time will be here before you know it.

Stop by our booth and many other great vendors tomorrow on your way to the Greenwood Strawberry Festival!

No beets for this week, but I have some great small cabbage for tomorrow! Bunches of onions too!

And still trying to pawn off cheap tomato plants!!! Some flowers left and a few bouquets... whatever else we cram into the truck!

My new snail friend! He can't live in my flowers though, so I relocated him to an appropriate shady spot.

See you tomorrow morning, 8- noon :)

This Memorial Day, we remember those who gave their lives in service to our great nation.
Almost 700,000 died during the Civil War
More than 400,000 during World War 2 (also known as World War Eleven.
More than 100,000 died during World War 1
Almost 60,000 died during the Vietnam War
Over 35,000 died during the Korean War
Plus so many more....

We not only honor these men and women but we remember the pain and uncertainty that their families experienced. The mothers and fathers who outlived their children. The Wives who had to raise their children without their fathers. Brothers and sisters who never saw their siblings again. So many people said final goodbyes to their brave Soldiers, Sailors, Airman, and Marines. Gaping holes left in their lives. The ultimate sacrifice.
To those men and women, we thank you and honor you.

Well, I had to finish the day in the rain, but I've got beets for tomorrow's market! I have 15 decent bunches.
I will also be having a SALE on my tomato plants because I don't have time to upgrade the pots and they need homes! We're talking REALLY GOOD DEALS! Many people asked about them last week, but I chose not to bring them due to the weather... tomorrow is your day!!

I will also have:
Herb plants (of course)
Ge**er Daisies (including a new kind this week! )
Succulents
Spider plants
Mother- in-law tongue
Straw flowers (almost sold out! )
More lupine! It's been a big hit!
Cannas ... and whatever else I decide!

Mom will be back this week; I know many of you missed her last Saturday.

See you in the morning!

This little guy is waiting out the rainstorm with me. He startled me, and was incredibly shifty and fast... so I put him in this temporary home.

He looks like he could bite me, but let's not find out. Definitely not a brown recluse or black widow, which are Indiana's only seriously venomous spiders. However, even the mild bites on me can take weeks to finally go away.

I'd try to free him no matter what kind he is.

Patience, diligence, and timing have paid off this spring. Some of my top favorites are blooming just in time for the second week of the AND the Johnson County Garden Celebration this weekend!

I'll have a few small bouquets available at the farmer's market, and some lovely plants available at both markets!

I CANNOT wait to see what's going to be ready for Mother's Day!

You guys.... I have a stalker on my job site today....

I love all of the pets and wild animals I have the opportunity to interact with on a weekly basis doing what I do.

This guy won't let me near him. He'd rather just be a creeper.

Forever re-potting plants for market.

THIS SATURDAY: The Greenwood Farmer's Market opens at 8am! I won't have all my fancy planters and cute stuff quite ready yet, but I will have:
- succulent starts
- herbs
- tomatoes
- a few perennials
- miscellaneous house plants

My herbs include just about anything you'd want... 4 kinds of basil, oregano, thyme, dill, lemon balm, spearmint, etc. I will have lavender and rosemary the following Saturday.

Tomatoes include: big boy, better boy, jet star, celebrity, sunsugar, supersweet 100, and a few extras from what I started specifically for myself. I'll have more variety in another week.

In a week or two, I will have some peppers, MORE herbs, annual flowers, more perennials... it just takes time to get it all together!

If you can't make it this week, be sure you don't miss next week along with the Johnson County Garden Celebration at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Franklin! Always a great time!

Whew! This project took me about a week longer than I'd planned, and that was even with help a few days! Pictured is just one part of what happened. I put almost 500ft of metal trim in around existing flower beds, installed this new section, then spread 14 yards of river rock!
For reference, one bag of rock you buy from the hardware store is usually 1/2 a cubic foot. It takes 54 of those bags to make one yard. So this was equivalent to spreading about 756 of those bags. Glad I had kiddos to help some of the days!

This customer is very intentional about wanting plants, so this new bed has several varieties! They are small but will fill in well over the next 2 years.

Really excited for my next 3 projects! In the meantime, I'm off to re-pot tomatoes and herbs for market.
