Home means something different in every season of life.

Sometimes it’s where we raise a family. Sometimes it’s where we gather grandchildren. Sometimes it’s where we finally create the slower, more intentional life we’ve been dreaming about for years.

That’s why I love what I do.

Being invited into someone’s home during a season of change is something I never take lightly. It’s about so much more than furniture, fabrics, and paint colors. It’s about creating spaces that feel like a true reflection of the people who live there today. Spaces that support their routines, welcome the people they love, and bring them joy every time they walk through the door.

I often think about how fortunate I am to play a small role in helping a house become a home. While that may not be an everyday experience for most people, it’s one I have the privilege of being part of every day…and for that, I am incredibly grateful. 💚

Some projects stay with you long after installation day, and this is one of them.

When these wonderful clients made the move from California to South Carolina, it wasn’t just about furnishing a new house. It was about creating a home that felt familiar, welcoming, and unmistakably theirs from the moment they walked through the door.

Over the course of this project, they became so much more than clients to me. I wanted every decision, every layer, and every detail to reflect who they are and how they want to live in this next chapter of life. A forever home should feel collected, comfortable, and deeply personal.

Seeing it all come together and knowing they can truly settle into this new season makes every challenge along the way worth it.

There’s something really special about watching a house begin to feel like home. Yesterday was reveal day for this project, and getting to walk through these spaces with my client as she FaceTimed her husband in California made the moment even sweeter.

This home was designed to feel thoughtfully considered, layered, welcoming, and truly livable. A forever home that feels beautiful without feeling untouchable. A place to gather, relax, host family, drink coffee in the mornings, and fully live in every single day.

Like many projects, we had a few key pieces delayed longer than expected, but my clients were incredibly patient and trusting throughout the process. I’m so grateful for that trust because it allowed us to create a home that feels complete, personal, and deeply reflective of them. We’re still waiting on a coffee table, a console table for the entryway, and drapery installation for the living room and bedroom but we are getting so close!

Design is never just about furniture or finishes. It’s about creating spaces that support the life happening inside them. And this one was worth the wait. 💚
