It’s always good to do a Potash application (Potassium). Vereens offers 5-0-30 with Iron and 0-0-22 K-Mag for this purpose.
The grass will love you through the winter time as this will help alleviate some of the stress during the cold months!

Also, there have been a lot of questions about how to prevent Poa Annua in the spring. That starts at the same time of year (late summer/early fall) with a pre-emergent herbicide. Vereens offers a wide selection of liquid and granular pre-emergents. Come by the store at 932 Gap Creek Rd Greer!!

Fescue Lawn customers: start backing off of high Nitrogen fertilizers for the summer and use stress relief products like Molasses Kings and Energy Root Harmony (liquids). If you don’t like to spray then use Earthworks 3-4-3 for stress relief with minimum nitrogen.

Bermuda lawn customers: the first real hot weather was over Memorial Day, and unfortunately it did not continue. Looks like warmer weather again at the end of next week. It is now time to fertilize if you haven’t. I highly recommend Fireworks 29-0-7 on Bermuda and Zoysia lawns at this time!! If you are a reel-mowing warrior, we have greens grades mini grade products to help get the fertilizer into your short cut Bermuda canopy.
