Gregory Building Center

Your locally owned and operated Rental Center, Lumber and Hardware supplier.

The Burke Building Center is family owned and operated by Vern and Carole Witt in Burke, South Dakota. They purchased the store from Corsica Lumber in 1993 after Vern managed the store. In October of 2000 the Witts bought Gregory Lumber in Gregory, South Dakota. Their son, Bryan Witt, was hired as manager. In 2005 Gregory Building Center added rentals to their offering. Since then, the rental inventory has been expanding each year to accommodate customers' needs.Their son, Jason Witt, joined the Burke Building Center in 2005 after graduation from South Dakota State University with a Construction Management and Engineering Technologies Degree. Jason’s main duties are computer aided design for both commercial and residential construction and overseeing general contracting jobs.The two stores currently have eight full time employees who provide customers with the best possible service. The Building Centers were founded on the principles of supplying the construction industry with satisfaction at the most competitive prices.It took a tremendous amount of hard work and strong ethics to survive the times and keep to our principles of service and satisfaction. We are proud of our business standards and thankful for our loyal customers.
