Homes around here are getting to that age where the siding and roof start looking tired… and this one was ready👏

Every time this homeowner mowed his lawn, he kept noticing his trim and knew for a while it was probably time to deal with it.

His home is right around that 20 year mark, and that’s usually when trim starts showing its age. In his case, some of the boards had expanded from years of weather and were starting to fall apart in spots around the house. Nothing dramatic all at once, just one of those things that slowly gets harder to ignore.

That’s honestly how it goes for a lot of homes. You notice it here and there, think about it for a while, and eventually decide it’s time to take care of it.

For this project, we replaced the damaged trim and soffit, cleaned everything up, and got it painted to match so the home looked clean and finished again. We also took care of a few gutter repairs while everything was opened up.

We really do love helping homeowners bring their homes back to life with curb appeal options that make a noticeable difference, and this one turned out beautifully.

If your home is getting close to that 20-year mark, there’s a good chance your trim is starting to call it quits.

Most homeowners don’t realize it right away. It starts small. Peeling paint. Soft spots around windows. Trim pulling apart in the peaks or around doors. Then one day you notice it just looks… tired.

Truth is, trim isn’t meant to last forever. Around that 18–22 year range, it’s often time to start thinking about repairs or full replacement, especially here in Ohio where weather does its fair share of damage.

This trim build going up today shows what the process really looks like behind the scenes. When trim is removed, it exposes the wood underneath so we can prep everything properly before installing the new materials. In this case, the wood underneath is solid- exactly what we want to see when a homeowner steps in at the right time👏

Last night’s storms brought hail across parts of Central Ohio, and now is a great time to make sure your home wasn’t affected.

After Friday’s windstorm our phones have been blowing up with calls, texts, and messages from homeowners with missing shingles and siding damage. A lot of it isn’t visible from the ground, which means many people don’t realize there’s an issue yet.

Even if you don’t see shingles in your yard, high winds can lift and crease shingles in a way that leads to leaks weeks or months later.

That’s why we’re out doing no-cost inspections over the next couple weeks.

I’ll have one of our professional inspectors come out to take a full look at your roof and siding. If anything is found, I meet with you one-on-one to review the photos and explain exactly what’s going on.
