Conic Design

Conic Design Conics are a methodology for creating thin shell architectures using multi-conic geometry to greatly reduce material and labor.

Conics can be scaled to any size and may be the most economical shape for very large mega-structures. Architecture and building practices and techniques based on natural curvature and the integration of curved surfaces with conventional construction.

It's up. The prototype Conic Shelter made of a 1" thick continuous plywood surface. Very strong yet highly flexible. This one will be coated with elastomeric (at least for this coming winter). But another is on the horizon... A 300 sq. ft. similar design also made of a 1" continuous plywood surface is being prefabricated. More soon.
