We will strip and stockpile the topsoil to keep it separate from the clay. The clay will then be excavated and stockpiled separately until we reach the sand layer. Once we reach sand, we will excavate an additional 2 feet, then reline the pond bottom with the stockpiled clay, placed in lifts and compacted with a sheepsfoot roller.
