We recently had an office field trip to one of our firm’s favorite projects, Pennswood Village Meadow Park. The project goes back over 25 years and continues to thrive as a healthy, diverse, and thriving ecosystem. Lead by founding principal Stu Appel, the ground-breaking work created a unique system of forebays, naturalized basins, wetlands and upland meadows to treat and capture not only the stormwater from the site but to address broader flooding issues in the area. Today the community park is enjoyed by residents, students, families and others looking to get outside and enjoy nature.

We’re always striving to stay informed and inspired in all aspects of our profession. Landscape Forms reps, Adrienne Seery and Miranda Darden brought us some fabulous lunch treats and shared updates on their latest products. They were also joined by Jenn McAllister from Lighting Solutions who introduced us to her lighting line and new ways they can help us integrate lighting into our designs. It’s World Landscape Architecture Month! One of the components of success for a project is the effect it has on the community. The Cooper River Water Trail is helping to provide better public awareness and access to the 16-mile waterway, a beautiful yet neglected natural feature in Camden County.

Perfect weather on Monday to wrap up our Soup Club with Dan’s yummy tomato soup and grilled cheese. It’s been a fun seven weeks of sharing our delicious homemade recipes. It's always rewarding to bond over food and creativity. We’ve enjoyed every spoonful!

The Brandt Behavioral Health Treatment Center and Retreat is nearing completion. Located adjacent to the Rutgers Equine Center in New Brunswick, the facility will provide patients a healing environment with a strong connection to nature and access to outdoor gardens and respite places

Great to see the custom steel shade structure at the Delaware Tech Wilmington Campus being installed. The “Grove of Trees” with perforated canopy panels provides a dappled filtering of light and a place for flexible outdoor gathering. A wonderful collaboration with Tevebaugh Architects and Aquajet Services. The new courtyard is expected to be ready for the Fall Semester.
