Dear Friends and Neighbors,

My name is Jennifer (Jenny) Rubel, and I am running for Hagan City Council District 1 this November 4th. I am excited about the opportunity to represent you and look forward to hearing how I can help you with issues that may concern you.

I would like to share a little with you about myself and my family. My husband, Tim, and I were married in 1999, and have three children, Grayson, 29, Sam, 24, and Kirsten “Q”, 22. We moved to Hagan in March, 2020. Once we settled in a bit, we opened an online plant nursery called Southern Flower Garden, and will soon open a bed and breakfast called Perkins Mill Inn, all located in our 1930 Folk Victorian home on the corner of Cedar Ave and Perkins Mill.

Prior to moving to Hagan we spent a number of years living in cities like Brunswick, GA, Charleston, SC, Chattanooga, TN, and Bluffton, SC, where I worked as a paralegal, and Tim worked in 5-star hospitality management. My time in the legal field was very rewarding and instructive, and will be an asset in representing you.

As a business owner, mom, and fellow community member, I am committed to upholding the values you have set in place that keep Hagan a pleasant town to live in and visit.
