"What am I looking at?" 👀
Our techs can use jargon on service calls, so here is a quick lesson on "What am I looking at":
These crusty brown things are your coils - these are made of copper and corrode over time. Today, systems are made with aluminum coils to avoid the corrosion you can see in this photo. If you have copper coils on your system, it doesn't mean it's bad - but it is an older version.
Corrosion is normal and your system can last 12+ years with older coil styles, but leaking is more common in these types. Simple stuff!
If you have questions about your system, ask our techs when they're at your house. They are ready and excited to help! 😊
