🇺🇸 Happy 250th, America — and Happy Halifax Resolves! 🇺🇸

We don't take lightly the fact that we call Halifax home. Our little town carries a big piece of American history — on April 12, 1776, right here in Halifax, North Carolina became the first colony to officially call for independence from Great Britain. Long before the Declaration of Independence was signed in Philadelphia, the spirit of freedom was already alive on our streets.

As we celebrate America's 250th anniversary this year, we're grateful for this community, this county, and the history that surrounds us every single day. We're honored to serve the same Halifax County and surrounding areas that helped shape a nation.

Dexter Boyd starting working with us full-time at age 89 and retired in July 2023. In that time, he shared wisdom with both his coworkers and customers and created lifelong memories. He learned to operate a forklift and excavator, often referred to as the “Dextavator.” He was one of the most kind and patient souls, always willing to help anyone with anything. He took pride in his determination and ability to learn new things at any age. Everyone, from our summer high school employees to our most seasoned employees, enjoyed working with him and hold many memories.

Please keep the family & friends of this incredibly hard-working and kindhearted man in your prayers. We had the pleasure of working with Dexter for several years. He will be greatly missed by us and all who had the pleasure to know him.

We offer free air filters year-round to active customers who are veterans, law enforcement, and firefighters. To be an active customer, you just need a unit installed by us or a service/maintenance call within the last year 🔧
